Weekend getaway to Bintan, Loola

Finally a weekend getaway to Loola, Bintan - coincidentally with my same bunch of europe khakis - a perfect getaway from work and I must say the trip was better than expected - the natural sea breeze by the kelong, the high/low tides, activities like flying fox, boom netting, fishing, star gazing, kayak, volleyball n archery - definitely a good recommendation... other than the food, i have no other complains.

Voila des photos à partager:
"Goodbye Singapore"

Finally, we reached - mark n sin

Looking back...We surmounted the rocks

On continue alors...
yet with even more obstacles
dun tink this is easy
because the rocks are burning hot
and my bottoms too..

slowing down for some rock skipping
Leaving in a speed boat for boom netting...
Ok, so what is this boom netting thingy that got everyone excited from the minute we left on a speed boat to another double decked boat stationed in the middle of the sea? I had absolutely no idea... then the boat started moving and whileI was happily enjoying the wind at the upper deck, the guide said:
"okay guys, see the net? It is ready, can start jumping now."
"what?"
"yes, you jump, from here into the net."
"no way!"
"oh it is easy, watch me"
-and off he leaped into the air, did a super somersault and splashed into the waters..

Ok so this is boom netting...
so who's next?

Somehow, peer pressure got us going...

n yoohoo look at how sinhui goes:finally, everyone in the net, safe and sound...

Though I am not inside the picture, I swear I jumped....and one time is all enough for me

Continuing with the day's activities: getting ready for flying fox into the waters
we are all secured and from several metres high, jumped off, and landed with a splash into the waters....
Think this is easy? not unless u do not fear of heights
the first few seconds in jumping off nearly felt like a suicide
The gang returned from volleyball

getting the campfire ready

campfire's burning
campfire's burning
draw nearer, draw nearer
in the gloaming, in the gloaming
come sing and be merry

And... a birthday surprise for Mark

The last morning is a day for relaxation and photo-taking...
We played pétanque in sand- a traditional french game usually for old people..
simply throw and aim the metal ball at a determined point - whoever got the ball nearest to the point wins

Then, some volleyball, obstacle course, frisbee and kayaking...
I tried archery n to my amaze, it is not as difficult as it seems
the hermit crab's nest
happy gongming in her warm hammock
but seems like someone isnt as happy?
ok, we are leaving soon...err who is mich waiting for?
ahh... Andrea
soon, it is time to leave the beautiful beach

I will be back again! :)
