cycling in grenoble

Finally one weekend, yoana n me decided to go for cycling in grenoble... i have always wanted to cycle, and now i finally had the chance, and it was really amazing to cycle in europe, cos the weather is so good i dun sweat at all even when i m wearing a thick jacket. The cycling trip brought us to many different places i never thought i knew of in grenoble... we had wanted to cycle down the isere river, but the cycling route was blocked... in grenoble, they have a bicycle service and we can rent a bike for only 2euro for a halfday, but we need to deposit 50euro for the bike, which we will get it back later... the seat is good and they have locks so that we can cycle somewhere and park our bikes.. we were given a route map to follow which shows all the bicycle pathways in grenoble. It is quite tough navigating a map on a bike. Cycling here needs to follow traffic rules too... there will be one path going forward on one side of the road, and on the other side will be the opposite direction. But we didnt follow such rules cos in order to go where we want... there are big cycling tracks that run through parks, pass rivers n bridges, n smaller ones that run pass the major roads and some pass by the trams and expressways... i actually cycled down a major road, with cars behind me... it was quite scary and stressful cos the cars had to divert away from my route as they went pass me...
